As we approach the end of the year, we are probably busy with gift shopping, thinking about what dish we want to make for Christmas, what outfit we should wear, what party we would attend, what task we should finish on our bucket list before we hit the new year..busy busy busy..stressed stressed stressed..But wait wait wait, stop! Close your eyes, take a deep breath, inhale and exhale. Now open your eyes and let me ask you one question: what is the best gift you have ever received in your life?
For me, the best gift I’ve ever received is precious, priceless and filled with so muuchhhhhhh love. Wonder what that is? Family of course! As I get older, the more I realize how important my loved ones are to me.
My younger sister, Ling (if you missed the last few posts, click here and here and here) and I always had a special bond. At young age, we were like twinsies. We shared the same bedroom, secrets with each other, finish each other sentences, cry, laugh, support each other through thick and thin. Although we have our own life now (she’s based in the UK) our bond has never changed.
So when she told us she will be home for Christmas, I couldn’t believe it. As a pastry chef, Ling always had to work during the Holidays. I can’t even remember when was the last time she celebrated Holidays with us..I guess it was 3, 4 years ago? Anyway, now she’s able to come back home, I’m super excited and I have to admit, I got emotional when I heard the good news! (I blame the hormones again!)
Anyways, today I’d like to share a few shots from our photo session in Japan! This sisterly love shoot means the world to me. It’s a reminder to myself that the most important thing in the world is love and family. We all know we can’t choose family, but I’m extremely grateful to have a sister like Ling.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Until next time,
