Hi, I hope you have been well! It’s been a bit quiet here on the blog, but we have been busy behind the scenes as we are working on a special project (no it’s not the baby bump thing)..
It’s official! We are getting married in September, woohooo!
Over the past few weeks we have been busy working on various tasks. First of all, we went to Hong Kong to attend my cousins’ wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding and it was also a great opportunity to learn the do’s and dont’s. Secondly, we have decided to take our prewedding photoshoot there as well. And what can I say? There were times when it was quite hectic as we had no idea what to expect in the first place. We had a lot of appointments and we were literally running from one place to another. However, we enjoyed every single minute and we had such an amazing time with the photographer (who became our friend in the end) and the MUA. Our prewedding photosession took place in Sai Kung which is also my dad’s hometown :) We can’t show you the pictures yet as it takes a couple of months in order to receive them, but we will show you some once they are done #staytuned.
Finally, we have bought a lot stuff for the wedding. For those who are familiar with the Chinese culture, there are some wedding rituals which will usually be held in the morning before the wedding. With that said, there a lot of RED things. Oh boy, I’ve never bought so many reds in my life! The colour red plays an important role during a Chinese wedding as it stands for joy and prosperity. So can you guess what colour my wedding gown will be?
Ivory it is (haha gotcha if your answer was red). Yup, we will have a western wedding after all, but we will incoporate some Chinese wedding traditions into the western style. I seriously can’t wait to show you my wedding gown, but I guess we just have to wait until September :)
So what happens next?
Wai and I are literally working on it every single day (sorry for the delayed responses, please bear with us). As I love DIY, I’ll also make some wedding decorations myself. In order to get you into the wedding spirit, I’ll start a new series on the blog soon.
Alright that’s it for today. I hope you’re all as excited as we are! Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Until next time!
